Amy Cobain
Design Director

After 3 great years studying up in Newcastle I came back down to London to join Turner Duckworth as a Junior Designer.
Over 8 years later, I still feel fortunate to work with such talented creative minds, on iconic brands and look forward to coming into the studio every week.
Before graduating I did a variety of placements at agencies, including Turner Duckworth. Outside the studio you’ll find me walking by the sea, cooking for my friends or arranging flowers.
Connor Maxwell
Designer
-
Hey my name’s Connor! I graduated from UCLAN in 2020 and after a stint at Quietly Studio I have been a designer at Turner Duckworth for around 3 years. Working on all sorts of projects from carefully crafted whiskeys to iconic confectionery I’ve always tried to push creative concepts as far as they can go and create work that feels like nothing else.
A big inspiration of mine is photography so when I’m designing you can usually find me lost in London somewhere with my camera.
Jon Hillier
Senior Planner
-
I'm Jon - a Senior Planner at Turner Duckworth. And I've been a Planner long enough (since 2012) to know it's a tricky role to define.
For me at least, Planning (aka Strategy) is about sharpening design by asking the right questions and finding interesting answers.
And it’s about ideas — spotting them, sparking them, supporting them, sharing them and selling them.
In a way, it’s not so different to my background as an Artist - connecting dots and finding patterns, then exploring where they lead.
See, I told you it was tricky.
Michael Bukzin
Group Account Director
-
Hi - I'm Michael. Group Account Director at Turner Duckworth with 20+ years experience in Client Service at top advertising and design agencies in New York, London and San Francisco.
I'm happiest when I'm doing the work I love with the people I love and that's exactly what I've found at Turner Duckworth. Developing unmistakable design for the world's top consumer brands, with the nicest people in the business.
Calum Reader
Senior Designer
-
Hey, I’m Calum and I’m a Senior Designer at Turner Duckworth! I’m a passionate designer with 7.5 years experience at some of London’s top agencies working with incredible people across a broad spectrum of brands and disciplines. This has helped form a creative process that combines insight, exploration, craft (and a lot of fun) keeping my interests in design itself and skillset broad, whilst pushing boundaries and forging lifelong friendships along the way!
Outside of work you’ll find me trying that new restaurant, glued to a game of rugby or finding any excuse to be out in the fresh air!
Georgina Leigh-Pemberton
Managing Director
-
Hi, I’m George, I’m the Managing Director of Turner Duckworth in London. I’ve been working in agencies for 25 years, first in Client Services in Advertising before moving into design and finally management. I’ve worked in London and New York.
I love that in my job I get to be involved in all aspects of the design process, from the client relationships, the strategy, new business and the creative. The best thing is working as part of a team that makes each other better, and when the chemistry with clients leads to exciting new thinking. I’ve learned that you don’t have to be a creative to enable creative thinking, and I never get bored of this job.
When I’m not working I’m cooking, reading or hanging out with my kids.
Matt Tapp
Senior Designer
-
Hey, I’m Matt and I’m a Senior Designer. After graduating from Falmouth University, I switched beach life for city life and have lived in London since. I've had the pleasure of working with some of the best creative minds in the business at Pearlfisher and Turner Duckworth. In the design process, I’m especially drawn to pushing the limits of a brief and finding the bold, single-minded creative idea at the heart of a brand identity. Nothing beats seeing something you’ve designed out in the world!
When I'm not designing, I love fashion, cooking, live music, and simple pleasures like enjoying a nice coffee on a bench overlooking Hampstead Heath.
Beth Hansford
Junior Designer
-
Hi, I’m Beth, a Junior Designer at Turner Duckworth. I’ve been in the industry for just over a year, starting my journey at B&B Studio before joining my current team. I studied graphic design at Norwich University of the Arts, where I discovered my passion for packaging and brand identity. Illustration is another love of mine, often weaving its way into my projects and personal work. I’m driven by the idea of creating designs that make an impact, and there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing my work come to life on shelves and in stores!
Emily Payne
Operations Manager
-
Hi, I’m Emily, the Operations Manager at Turner Duckworth. I had an unusual path that led me here today; I graduated with a degree in American Studies in 2012 and landed my first job as an Account Executive at a small agency in the New Forest.
After 10 years working in the world of Client Services at some of the biggest agencies in the business, I decided I wanted a change and moved into my new role of Operations here at Turner Duckworth.
I love my job, as no two days are the same. I get to work with a fantastic bunch of people and every day brings another puzzle to solve!
When I’m not working, you can find me baking, paddle boarding or hiking with my dog.
Matt Lurcock
Creative Director
-
I’m Matt - Creative Director at Turner Duckworth. This was the only place I wanted to work and came here straight from Norwich Uni. 14 years later i’m still here because every day since, I’ve been surrounded by brilliant, creative minds, who never settled for the first or easy option - and always push the work, themselves and each other to find the most unmistakable answer.
When I’m not doing the design thing - I’m rescuing and rehoming stray cats and kittens.
Miles Marshall
Creative Director

I joined Turner Duckworth as a hungry and passionate junior designer. Some brilliant 15 years later I lead our team in creating work that is effective, award winning and most importantly like nothing else!
So what are you waiting for?!
