Join us on Thursday 21st November in London as we break down barriers to the creative industry and give traditional ‘mentoring’ a fun twist with Pearlfisher.

Pearlfisher is an independent brand design agency focused on driving creative, commercial and cultural impact.

Their wonderful team have volunteered their evening to speak with emerging creatives to answer your burning questions, provide some snappy portfolio feedback or just have a general chit-chat.

Event details

Location:
Pearlfisher London, W2 4XW

Time:
Arrival from 6pm, kick-off at 6.30pm, home time at 8.30pm

Date:
Thursday 21st November 2024

So what’s the twist?

Ever been speed dating? No? Neither have we…but the format still works! All mentees at this event will get the chance to speak to three different members of the wonderful Pearlfisher team, rotating every 10 minutes, with small breaks in between to regroup.

You can be emerging at any age, so there’s no age limit on this event. If you have less than two years of industry experience, you can get involved! The same goes for qualifications - no experience of formal education necessary, only an interest in design.

Spaces are limited, so don’t hang about. Applications will close on Thursday 31st October 2024.

Meet the mentors

Hannah Davis

Junior Designer

  • Hey, I’m Hannah! A Junior Designer at Pearlfisher, where I’ve been turning ideas into reality since I graduated from Nottingham Trent University two years ago. Winning a D&AD New Blood Pencil was an absolute highlight, and this led me to completing a handful of internships which fired up my love for branding and packaging. I'm all about the energy of ideation and teaming up to help people genuinely fall in love with brands.

Outside of design, I have a passion for wellbeing and love to recharge by connecting with nature and friends!

  • After interning last summer, I accepted a full-time Junior Designer position at Pearlfisher where I have predominantly worked with food and beverage clients. With a strong passion for illustration, I always look for opportunities to incorporate this skill into my projects. I hope to share a fresh perspective and creative energy with those just starting out in the industry. In my spare time, I enjoy running, long walks, fashion, studio ghibli films and exploring new areas of London.

Tom French

Designer

  • My name’s Tom, and I’m a designer here at Pearlfisher. I first joined the team over three years ago as an intern, and I've never looked back since being offered a full-time role. I've had the opportunity to work closely with a range of iconic brands like Lucozade, Andrex, and Kahlua. I’m especially passionate about the early stages of a project, where ambitious ideas take shape, and there’s room to push the boundaries and truly challenge the brief.

When I'm not designing, you’ll find me cycling, gaming, or embracing coffee snobbery. I’m also on a mission to conquer London’s top pubs and restaurants one pint and plate at a time, so send any recommendations my way!

Hannah Francis

Junior Designer

  • I’m a pint-sized designer from Pearlfisher who’s been in the industry for 3 years since graduating from NUA in 2021. Before joining the lovely bunch at Pearlfisher, I interned at 2 London design agencies and took on my D&AD New Blood work as a live commissioned piece for Grey Poupon. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work on some amazing award-winning live briefs like The Pack by Kotex. I love illustrating and finding the joy in the design work that I do. This is where my vibrant energy can shine through, ideas can flow freely, and there's room to explore all possibilities to bring a vision to life.
